Well the new year is well and truly with us with one month gone already.  We survived the lockdowns and the pandemic albeit the world is now a different place.

The border restrictions are relaxing and time to start looking ahead.

Already a couple of things planned:

1.  Leaving tomorrow a trip to Melbourne to catch up with family stuck down there and especially to see our Grandson who is still waiting for the heart/lung transplant.  Also attached to this trip is Maggie’s youngest sister getting married in Victoria.

2.  Then there is the COG at Alstonville in May.

3.  After that (hopefully) back to Victoria for the Australian Sheep and Wool Festival in Bendigo during July.  (Could maybe combine this with a possible COG somewhere along the Murray River)

No doubt that is just a start and there will be things in between.

That is current planning.  What are you all up to.

Hi Derek
Your plans sound pretty good. The COG on the Murray sounds very good idea I always  wanted to do that wool show at Bendigo
Enjoy your trip.

There are two parts to the show Kev.  There are the arts and crafts and then the actual sheep show.

We have been twice now and it sure is worth it.  We buy a three day ticket and really enjoy the weekend.

The fashion shows are a highlight.

The caravan park we used to stay in has been sold for development so will have to look for a new one this time.

Cold down there in winter though.

I once had a old friend who was a sheep farmer west of Horsham in Victoria he would go to the show and judge sheep and also had something to do with the sheep dog trials.
By the way Derek you look like a gentleman from the highlands of  bonny old scotland  Grin Grin I can hear the bagpipes  playing as I type.

Would look more authentic with a kilt however I can honestly say that to the best of my knowledge there is not a drop of Scottish blood in these veins.   Grin

Car on the trailer and motorhome just about packed.  Hitting the road early with the plan to get to around Moree the first night.  Hopefully stay at the Showgrounds.

Pulled into Moree Showgrounds for the night. $25 for power and water.  Heaps of room with big drive through sites
