Not sure I mentioned it but we are staying at the Discovery Caravan Park at Braybrook.  It is 7.5 kilometres from the Melbourne Childrens Hospital.

I can highly recommend this place to everyone who needs a park close to Melbourne CBD.

When the Covid lockdown started (we had only been here three days) they came and told us that basically the park was closing for the duration however we were welcome to stay.  The office was shut but they were available by telephone if needed.

All of the amenities blocks were locked however they gave us a key to an ensuite site that was only around 30 metres from where our motorhome is so we have had our own private bathroom for the duration.

The laundry was left unlocked.

When I initially booked for the two weeks they were running a special whereby you pay for five nights but can stay for seven.  We are now in our fifth week here and they have honoured that right the way through.

The lockdown has eased quite significantly and people are now starting to move and the park has a lot more people but we still have the ensuite.

Overall cannot say enough about the place.

We are scheduled to move out next Tuesday and hope to drift around some of regional Victoria before going to the Bendigo Sheep & Wool Festival in mid July.  Maggie has for the first time entered some items of crochet in the competition.

After the Bendigo Festival will be a quick trip back here and then home.

Hi Derek and Maggie.
The park looks great (thanks Doc google) close and handy to everything. And from what you say operated by nice people.
Enjoy the festival. Maggie good luck in the comp.
Have fun with your travels.
regards Kev Wink

IT IS TIME!!!!!

Decision made.  Our time in Melbourne is at an end and with Covid once again taking over around the country we have decided to make a run back home to Queensland before we are locked out.

Not a good time for anyone to be away from home at present as there seems to be people, including flight attendants on planes, travelling all over the country with Covid.

One stint of lockdown this trip was enough so home we go.

Unfortunately going to miss the Australian Sheep and Wool Show at Bendigo but there will be other times in the future.

Now to try and pack down all the extras we have accumulated while sitting down here. 🙄

Well we have taken a punt, despite COVID, and booked ten nights at Hervey Bay for later this month in one of the favourite caravan arks we like to stay at.

Will be a family affair with some of our grandchildren up there as well.

Fingers crossed.
