This has been a topic for a long time and I still cannot understand why it has not been incorporated into the Bedourie.  I have showed this to many people over the years.

All you need is two standard camp oven lifters as in the first photo.

Connect them into the triangle shaped clips as in the second photo on both sides, pull them together inwards and you can lift as you wish.

The lid, or base for that matter, can be turned to any angle and even upside down while still holding firm.

Forgive my ignorance, but is there another way?

I mean, how else could you lift the lid?

Derek, do you use both hands or can you grip the two lifters in one hand. I might need to have a play with this to see what I need to do to fix the lifting of the oven.
I might need to make a set of lifters for me to use one handed.

John, would just need to just bend them a little.  As you can see in this photo they come pretty close together when on the lid.

Thanks Derek I will have a play and see what I come up with.
I have found posts from way back regarding this problem, you would think the manufacturing side of things would have also thought about this by know.
