Trying out the first Christmas ham. This is the Woolies double smoked that won the award for best tasting supermarket ham.

Topped with a poached egg sprinkled with cracked pepper

We have visited a bunch of smokehouses around here to sample their leg ham.

Settled on the ham from the smokers at Mt Pleasant.  Pick it up on the 23rd.

What is your opinion of the Woolies one Derek? Was it the $8 kilo or $14 kilo one? Cheers Robert

It is the $14 double smoked one.  Very nice ham indeed.

Well that is brunch over and done with.

Toasted home made bread, smashed avocado, ham off the bone, a slice of my favourite Jarlsberg cheese all topped with a poached egg and a dusting of fresh ground black pepper.

That is it until dinner tonight.
