For the last two or three years I have been using a Travelpits fold up heat bead chimney.

While it works well, as it is a lightweight foldable travel design it was never really designed to be the mainstay.

Today while mooching around Betta Electrical (a Weber dealer near here) looking for a new dishwasher, I lashed out and bought a brand spanking new Weber chimney.

Hooley Dooley.  It really holds a fair whack of beads and gets 'em roaring in almost no time.

The sirloins and roasted veggies done in the kettle bbq weren't too bad either.   Grin

I have one here I bought in 2005.  Have not used it a lot as I refer to use a smaller one.

Weber were the only ones making them back then.  Mine has a conical wire base in it and it really does get the beads going quick.

They were designed to fit 64 heat beads in for the Weber Kettle BBQ.  32 beads a side for indirect cooking.
