You'd be hard pressed to know that there is a large flood event in Queensland.

The media have worked themselves into such a tizz about Ukraine and that is all they are covering wall to wall, 24/7.

I hope you guys are all ok.

We have now had an accumulation of 442mm since Thursday night.  On the old scale that is near 18 inches.

Has eased off now and the flooding across the Lockyer has started to go down.  Even had blue sky for a short while this morning.

They are saying the rain is still coming however over next 24 hours before it dissipates to the south.

My Home Sewerage Treatment barely survived.  It went underwater completely.  After neighbours built there house a river runs between us.  The joys of living at the bottom of a hill I guess.

Morning Robert.  All good here.  Lots across the Lockyer Valley aren’t though.  Floods exceeded the 2011 heights.

My home town of Gympie experienced their highest flood level since 1893.

Not for us but for many the cleanup begins.

Hi
We are dry ,the sun is out plenty of water. The farm across the road is like a lake. water in the village caravan storage yard is about 5metres deep. Shocked
the road to the back entrance to our village is under about 2  metres of water Roll Eyes
Hopefully once the tide turns the water is start to disappear
Regards Kev

Two pics.  This is the rail bridge at Grantham.  First one at it’s highest and second one this morning.

Taken off the flood cameras

Final empty of the water gauge just before and now have a cumulative 474 mm.

That is actually just a millimetre short of 19 inches for the event.

More rain than we have most likely had here in several years.

Was bright and sunny this afternoon.
