At a local market I picked up a copy of "The Complete Australian Barbeque Kettle Cookbook".

Gawd what a trip!

The imprint page lack a publishing date but I suspect mid-eighties or earlier.

The recipes are very much of the era! As are the preamble instructions.

I gather that Weber's were the latest thing at the time and the authors were early Weber dealers and this was written to educate the Australian market what a kettle BBQ was.

It is hilarious!

Hi Colin
I just went and found my copy of the book. I bought mine back in the early 90s  I see I paid $29.95 a little bit more than you paid. It turned out very handy when we bought our first webber  I hope you get plenty of good info from it.

I got one as a package when I bought my first Weber Kettle.  Would have been back in the 70’s.

It was this book and the principle of cooking in the kettle that actually got me using Heat Beads with camp ovens and working with Heat Beads to produce the Heat Bead Chart now on my website.
