This morning after reading about them online I slipped into Kmart and bought the last one of their $16 double jaffle irons.  This was the Aspley store.  You will find them in the outdoor/camping section.

I am amazed!!!! Lightweight aluminium and appears well constructed.  Even has aligning pins so it comes together in the right place.

I will say it is more a toasted sandwich cooker than a deep jaffle iron however I did manage to cook a couple of breakfast jaffles for us today.

An egg, salami for Maggie and ham for me and a slice of Gouda cheese in each.  I did forget the pepper on the egg 🙄

If you look closely you will see the ham is overhanging the bread.  This did cause a bit of a stick so will remember that next time.

For a new contraption and the first cook I gave it a 9.5 out of 10.

This will get a lot of use in the motorhome.

Hard to find a simpler warm feed than a jaffle.
Great for taking car of leftovers.

Hi Derek
Pretty good.
I think I saw one like that for sale the other day at my local
aldi for about the same price.
regards Kev
PS  I am sorry I believe it may have been a  waffle iron (same shape)

I don’t seem to go into Aldi that much these days.  Last time was at Coffs Harbour a few weeks ago and I came out with this bottle of booze.   Roll Eyes

Hi Derek
Yes I usually go to Aldi as I have to go past it to get to the others anyway.
