I don’t know if others are aware of it but there is a website where they auction off caravan park accommodation.  We have used it a bit.

https://www.travelauctions.com.au/

Prior to our little girl ending up in hospital Maggie and I were going to head off from the Yetman COG south for an extended period.

Through Travel Auctions we had successfully bid on six lots of ten nights in caravan parks at:

Eden, NSW
Lakes Entrance, Vic
Henry Bat, Vic
Beachport, SA
Edithburgh, SA; and
Tumby Bay SA

This was giving us at least 60 nights at an average of $24.50 a night.  Pretty good value we thought for full caravan park facilities.  All of them dog friendly.

Our intention was to between those places either free or low cost camps and expected to be away for several months.

We have up to 12 months from winning the auctions to cashing them in.

Not sure what our plans are now though.

I do know I can resell the vouchers at anytime and that may happen.

We are all out of sorts at present though.
