Well over the years I don’t ever think anyone called say I am a stagnant sort of person.  I do seek out new, exciting and better things and am not afraid of the big decisions.

Maggie and I have decided that it is time to move on from our motorhome and go back to towing a caravan.

We have been reminiscing and looking at old photos and realised our outdoor lifestyle has been limited with the motorhome.

So, our planned next getaway next getaway has been put on hold and we are now looking at selling the motorhome, seeking out an appropriate towing vehicle and then a suitable caravan.

Looking at a new vehicle, most likely a twin cab ute with canopy, however a near new second hand caravan.

There are going to be plenty of near new vans come on the market, have already started actually, now that the pandemic has eased off.

This one will be fully setup with solar, lithium batteries and large inverter so that we can run all sorts of appliances when offline.

Exciting times ahead.   Smiley

Thanks Kev.

Will be looking for a smaller than our last Jayco Silverline at around 19/20 foot with some off road capacity.

My initial searching shows that some people are actually trying to sell second hand vans for more than the new price.

Brisbane Camping & Caravan Show starts tomorrow.  Might wander in there to see what is on offer this week sometime.  Smiley

Derek
Doing the research will take  time but will pay off  for you
I really miss my caravan but due to my health I just could not handle the setting up and the packing up  anymore.
regards Kev

Both caravan andcar second hand market is high due to the long wait period. Robert

I think there will be some nice vans coming up for sale for sure Derek. All the best with the hunt for the right one. The new Isuzu D-Max are a good unit.

How things can change.

We have decided not to get a car and caravan after all.

Looking back at five years of memories in the motorhome has been pretty good so we are keeping it.

After all at only 57,000 klms on it everything is still pretty good.

Going to give it a bit of a facelift and upgrade some of the electrics.

Watch this space.
