I came across this video by some good looking rooster:

https://youtu.be/aazwRGjpvxo

I was hoping said rooster could confirm the ingredients. I get that it is a cup of flour, fruit, condensed milk and a little salt.

What I would like to get and idea of is how much fruit and what size milk tin?

Also, how long was it cooked for and was it heated from below as well?

I would guess it is similar to this:

Cheers

Long time ago so not completely sure but was a very easy one.

I think it was a cup of flour, pinch of salt, one and a half cups fruit and a tin of condensed milk.

It is a very sticky mix.

Cook for about half an hour.

So after 30 (and bit) minutes, not as brown as expected but a skewer comes out clean.

So, off it comes.

Now cooling on a rack.

Ingredients:
1 cup SR flour
1 1/2 cups of mixed fruit
1 395g tin of sweetened condensed milk
Pinch of salt

Preheat Camp Oven
(I used 6 heatbeads under and 22 on top - coconut husk ones in the blue bag)

Grease and flour a small cake tin. I also lined the base with baking paper, my Grandmother always insisted on that.

Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly.  It is a thick and heavy mixture.

Once camp oven is hot, pour mix into cake tin and place in camp oven.

Check after 20 minutes.

Should take about 25 to 30 minutes.

It turns out the tin was a smidge big, so it is a bit like a slice.

However, it tastes a treat.

Even my wife likes it. I am quite pleased for a first attempt.

I will invest in a smaller springform cake tin (or increase the ingredients) for next time.

(Edited to attach a better image - the first was quite washed out)
