Well we finally hooked up and departed the Bear Den at 12 noon today, headed north as we might try a visit to the Eyrie Peninsular.

Stopped about 20 klm south of Port Wakefield for lunch and now at Neishaby Reserve at the foot of the Flinders Ranges about 12 klm east of Port Pirie.

Molly has to work tomorrow so will try for a couple of hours driving in the afternoon. Certainly are a lot of worst places to have as your office for the day.

I was on the boats and barges building the jetty at Port Bonython or Stony Point as it was called before the name change. It took 13 months to build it.

Free camping or $10 a night community camps, Molly has to work till at lest 1:00pm so caravan parks are not much good for one night stays.

Certainly a long jetty out here. Cheers Robert

Point Lowly was a good spot to stop, clean amenities block with paid showers. No fresh water to take on board but free internet provided by Whyalla Council. At $10 night still grubs who will not pay.

Walked to the lighthouse and back and took a few photos along the way cheers Robert

Nice and quite but nothing there except some houses and the LPG export facility. Must be good fishing as they cart some big boats with their utes. No shops and about 31 km to Whyalla for shopping.

Quite good mate had been having the inverter on for @ lest 6 to 8 hours a day for molly to run her computer got down to 48% usage at 12.8 v but on the charger now. Happy with it will talk to my auto elec when we are back about improvements.

I think the generic Chinese fridge draws a fair bit could replace with a Dometic for better power consumption but price too high.

Been a good trip just watching the power during the day. Cheers Robert

On our recent trip I had a argument with a small sapling. Lucky really as missed the awning frame and caught the bottom of the door. Twisted the door and a bit of damage to the step well.

Van back at repairers and being looked at by the assessor today. Any luck will have it back next week. Cheers Robert.

Off for a slow wonder to the Riverlands bit of a detour and ended at the John Potts Reserve, langhorne Creek.

Will do a back track tomorrow to Strathalbyn for fresh scones, jam and cream at lunch the onwards again.

Couple of photos of the van at rest.

Dot and George arrived yesterday in their bus and we are moving on to Loxton today to meet another friend of theirs who also travels in a bus. Should be a couple of good days if the rain stays away. Cheers Robert

Yes mate towing a small white car do you know her.

Raining here at the moment and a great night last night. Everyone through in some tucker and of course you supplied your own wine.
Was good sitting around a fire talking or just thinking.

Big low pressure system moving across SA then right across the eastern states later in the week, including up here.

Some wet weather coming for all of us it seems.

Been rain early morning just in a break with heavy rain expected this afternoon.

Went for a drive this morning to empty the loo canister. Very nice drive along the Hurry which is wide and high. Arrived and out of the car there is a note on the dump point not in use. This is there new one, directed back to the old dump site.

Why can they not put a vertical sign up is beyond me. Any way very nice drive.

Couple of photos, parked up at a friend place. Murray River and the Big Pelican.

Jeff no problems as I said it was a lovely drive along the river and recommended to every one visiting the area even if you do not need to use the dump point.

Raining all day but once again a good dinner with friends. Cheers Robert
