Both Cactus and myself have cancelled our bookings at Bendigo for the swap meet, not only is it difficult to get there from NSW due to the floods but I have my doubts the event will be held as the showground would be like a sponge.

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd

It has been a cow of a year for travel this one for sure.  We are getting ready for more rain and storms.  Flood warnings have already been issued.

Is there much involved in fitting it Dave.  I would have thought just unbolt the old hitch and bolt the new one on.

Have you had a look at the Mc Hitch automatic couplers?

Derek...I might have done it...but the towbar tongue needs replacing and the handbrake is a bit difficult so getting it all done...around $900

Yes I have looked but the Do35 is kinda like my Hyland even though my van is not 3.5T in weight

UPDATE:

Got the DO35 hitch installed gladly
the 4 bolts lined up but had to be removed as they were too long and different thread and were welded to the A frame...the handbrake cable had to be connected to new handle via a very tiny D shackle ...New tow tongue fitted too....plus I got a DO35 locking pin that goes through the hitch pin hole for security

will let all know how it travels long distance...11klms so far so good
