Certainly not a good time to be out and about in some parts of Australia with all the flooding.

Wondering how everyone is doing out there??

Ducked up to Morgan (on the Murray) last weekend, it's an hour or so from here.

It's still several weeks until the current floods get there, but the previous flood waters are passing through.

It has come up a fair way and the strength of the flow is immense. The channel marker and isolated danger buoys are starting to be pulled under by the current.

Might head back in a couple of weeks for another squint at it.

We have Lance (known on here as Crazy Dog) and his wife Jan staying for a few days.  Got their caravan parked up in the yard.

Early this morning the heavens opened up on already soggy ground and down it all came.

Not nearly as wet as the east coast, but given "it doesn't rain in South Australia" or so we keep being told, but if it wasn't rain then I don't know what this was:

Hi Robert
Good on you to go and see and have a beer with your mate.
It a shame that cancer takes so many people.

Hi folks hit 40c today just to B hot and humid, my lungs having trouble and on the end of a double does of antibiotics and sreroids for a lung infection.

Glad we do not live here any more, great steak sandwich at the Coolalinga tavern for lunch and will be heading back there.

Take care Robert

That is what the temps were like in Darwin the first week I was there in November.  Then the afternoon storms started to build and even the rain comes down warm.

That part of the territory I don’t miss for sure.

I remember learning about the silting of the Murray River mouth in school and I believe this is the biggest flush of water the river has had in my lifetime.

Hopefully get down there to see it next year.
