Hetty and I are headed south on or about 12 February. Destination Victoria for about 8 weeks.
Is there any interest for a COG in NSW during the first 2 weeks or Victoria in the 4th to the 7th week.
Allows 1 week to get back to Brisvegas.

Just putting it out there.

I was only thinking yesterday the same.

What about the last weekend (25 - 26) in March at Silverton.  Silverton may allow some of our SA folk the opportunity to attend.

Bearing in mind though that is a hot period of the year.

We are in the early stages, health permitting, of an extended trip to WA in the first half of next year.

My initial thoughts were heading down through Cobar to Broken Hill then down into South Aussie.

If we can set a date and place we will try and work it in.  Won’t be put out though if Silverton doesn’t suit others.

Thoughts!!!!

Waiting to hear back from Rob & Lorraine as well as Snow & Jilly.  Don’t have contacts for Lindsay & Jeannie.  Could someone ask if they are interested.

Who else??

UPDATE:  Snow & Jilly are interested.

End of March?

6-ish hours away. Well depending on roadworks.

A chance to visit the Silverton pub, the Mad Max Museum and the wacky artists studio?

I reckon I might be able to sell that to the Mrs...

Oh, also The Palace at Broken Hill too.  Fabulous!!!!!!!!

Maggie and I had the pleasure of spending a week with Enis, Rory’s Mum after the last COG there.

She ran the pub for many, many years.  First with her husband and later on her own but has now moved to NSW.  Here is an article about her leaving - https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-08-16/ines-mcleod-silverton-businesswoman-leave...

Her local knowledge was astounding and we saw a lot of things with her that the average tourist would never see.

I loved the place.  To stand up on the Mundi Mundi lookout and look just down the road to where some of the Mad Max was filmed, particularly the big truck rollover was cool.

I can win a trick at present.
We were meant to leave yesterday for all points south and a possible COG in late march.
I had some bad blood reports come back, so now I wait to see an Autoimmune Specialist.
That means I am grounded for a while and my 8 weeks is going to get cut back.
Don't know for how long.
If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.
Still kicking though.

That is no good Aart.  I had a blood test this morning for a full blood count and all the other things that go with it.  Fingers crossed here.

You take care.

Looks like we are all hitting the bad patch, was carted of Sunday with pains in the chest. Not a normal angina attack.

They done the usual test and given all clear after 7 hrs and advised to see my specialist for a early review and stress test, so that is todays task. Tired yesterday but otherwise ok.

Best to every one and take it easy if you are in the hot weather. Cheers Robert.

Robert I hope you pass the stress test as an A student.

Went to the specialist this morning.
More blood tests and more X-rays.

They don't know what I have.

They know I don't have Lupus.
That's some good news.

A decision has been made to cancel this COG due to a number of people unable to make it.

About to post up a new COG at Yetman.
