We finally moved on from the Barossa after 10 nights. We are currently at a roadside free camp at Port Arthur which is at the top of the Yorke Peninsula.

Over the next few weeks we will be travelling around Yorke Peninsula.

Behind our motorhome you can see the waters of Port Arthur. It is a very pretty area. Behind us is the Clinton Conservation Park.

Just staying the one night here. Only one other camper so far.

I drove past the rocky creek camp ground the other day, you would trip over the tent ropes there were that many NSW, VIC and SA vans and motor homes there.
I think there must be no one left down there.

Well we only drove half an hour this morning to Ardrossan. Pulled in to use the dump point and found it was in this little free camp. Can stay for 48 hours. Only three sites and they are full. Even managed to put half the doggy fence up for the puppies.

Turned into a beautiful warm day.

This afternoon we drove down the coast a bit. Still seeing lots of the old style buildings now in ruins. The coastal towns are amazing. Beautiful clear water and lots of history.

Looking down on the water and seeing all those sandy patches amongst the weeds says whiting to me.

Over the years have read a lot about Edithburgh and really wanted to spend some time here on this trip so here we are.

Like most places there are few crowds so we basically had the pick of the sites in the park. We chose a foreshore site and took advantage of the pay for 5 nights and stay 7 nights so here for a week.

All of these photos were taken standing in the same spot. I just turned around.

There is a sneaky cold breeze here that feels like it is coming up from the Antarctic
