Well tonight we really are on the “Nullarbor Plains”.  This is the area known as the treeless plains of the Nullarbor.  About 20 klm from the Nullarbor roadhouse and near the Head of the Bight.

Free camp, no facilities.

Nothing all around us but emptiness and boy is it beautiful.

Tomorrow we will be back in civilisation at Ceduna.

Diesel was $2.99 a litre and plain hamburgers $18.50

It was well over $3 when we passed through there.
Thankfully we filled up at $2.69 at Eucla and got through to Nundroo for $2.25.
Fuelmap was good for planning value for money fuel stops.

Did you go to the Head of the Bight.
We drove in and saw there was a charge to access the area.
$15 per adult.

We are actually camped just near the gate down there that is locked at present.  Opens at 9.30 I think.

Out of season now so half price.

Going to drive in when we get mobile, nearly finished my second coffee, but winds currently around 50 klm plus so won’t be pleasant down there.

Dogs allowed in the carpark but nowhere else so could be a short trip.

Was 1.6 degrees here earlier when I turned the heater on.

Tonight back at Ceduna.

The benefits of booking ahead is that we have a drive through site and didn’t need to unhook the trailer.

Kev, this would have to be one of the nicest parks we have ever stayed at.

The view from the door of the motorhome.  Some will disappear as the park fills up later but still nice to look out over the bay.

I love the big jetties down here and this one on the Ceduna foreshore just opposite the caravan park is no exception.

This one even has a swimming enclosure out towards the end of it.
