Ingredients
Filling

Bunch rhubarb
Small tin pie apple
2 tabs sugar
2 tabs water

Crumble
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup castor sugar
80 gms butter

Method
Trim and chop the rhubarb and place in saucepan with the sugar and water.  Bring to a simmer and cook until rhubarb has broken up.  Stir in the tin of apple and let cool.

Place oats, flour, sugar and butter in a bowl.  Rub butter through fingers until it all resembles course crumbs.

Place rhubarb/apple mix into a pie dish, sprinkle on crumbs and cook in a hot oven for 35 minutes or toasty brown.

I have made this in the camp oven by placing mixtures straight into the oven.

Find it best served with custard and a dollop of cream.
