My google-foo seems to not be working.

Does anyone make/sell a small heat bead chimney?

I have a regular sized Weber brand one, which I guess holds about 70 heat beads that works well when full of beads or charcoal.

Each weekend when I do my regular King Brown's Pub Chicken I only need 26 or 28 beads then the chimney struggles to light them evenly or completely.

I have used a smaller fold up travel one, but it didn't handle the abuse of weekly use.

So a smaller fixed one would be great.

Any ideas?

Bunnings sell one.  About half the size of the big ones.  I have one.

Cheers Derek,

I guess I'll go and have a squint in the BGSFOS* during the week as their website really isn't helpful - apparently the Heat Bead brand one is 30mmx20mm and weighs two kilograms.

The fewer heat beads in a chimney, the harder they are to light.
Particularly if the chimney has a larger Diameter.

Thanks Derek.

And Aart, that is precisely why I want the smaller one. To keep the heat concentrated.  The small travel one I used to use performed well with small loads but didn't like the abuse Smiley
