Left this morning and camped for the night between Whyalla and Cowell. Nice clean spot on tar. Great phone and TV reception.
We might stop at Port Neill tomorrow night.

Still at Tumby Bay.
Yesterday we did Koppio Smithy Museum out at Koppio.
Well worth the visit.
Today we did a trip to Port Lincoln.
Did some shopping, visited a mate (he gave me the burl in the photo) then picked I up some wine for our daughter.

On a trip down the Eyre Peninsula, we camped at Streaky Bay, Me thinking I might get a feed of fresh oysters, but alas, not a oyster to be had. Huh

Reporter did most of their research trolling caravanning pages on Facebook.   Grin

Must admit though it is pretty poor form for a town that has limited water available.

You can fill your tanks up to 500 litres for $5 at the filling station at the Information Centre.

Read on Wiki camps that people had them camping out from Tumby Bay.
We didn't encounter any at the RV camp in Tumby Bay, Port Neill or camped out near Cowell. Infact no dead ones on the road so must be patchy.

We've had an uptick here in the northern Barossa, not in a big way but noticeable. We have had a big season in terms of grapes, with a fair bit being left on the vine in some places so there's food about.

PIRSA (SA gov's environment folk) has lowered their prediction of a plague like season, as the weather has got cool fairly early.

You know in that article the guy says he “thinks” 1000 litres has been stolen in the past year.  Most caravans have 120 to 190 litre tanks so in effect that could be not more than only half a dozen vans.  It’s not like everyone is doing it.

Back home now.
Caught up with friends and family also freshened up some family graves.
Photo of some Honky Birds (Cape Barren Geese). The males are the bigger birds.

Just arrived at Ceduna big 4.
Couldn't get into foreshore Park.

Spent 4 nights between Norseman and Ceduna.
Terrible driving in very strong winds.

I meant to tell you about booking early to get into the Foreshore Park.

The time we were there I didn’t see any empty spots after about 5.30 every day.

Got home this morning. Stayed last night at Lawrie Park at Nelshaby near Port Pirie in the foot hills of the Flinders Ranges.
Donation camp must be self-contained. We did like the camp but to many dogs and people sleeping in cars last night for our liking.
Photo old toilet block and slab laid for new one. Sunset from our camp.
