New baby Q any thing special to do before I start cooking?

Any one done a bread and butter pudding in one, any advise appreciated cheers Robert

Read the manual.   Grin Grin Grin Grin.   Nah, nothing special at all.

If you haven’t already you should get the trivet and convection trays for it.  This allows even heat around for baking/roasting.

This bread and butter pudding was actually cooked last time we camped at Condobolin.  Same as the oven at home at 180 degrees.

Had the Baby Q for 11 months and never fired it up, so put a skin init and using half grill and plate, convection tray and trivet.

Fired up ok preheated put the B & B pudding in but temperature was raising over 200c. With lid down on lowest setting keeps heading over 200c.

Have it propped open at the moment not sure what else to do. Cheers Robert

Robert, mine drops down to 180 degrees.

I have put a set of tongs under the edge of the lid to lift it a bit to get a lower temperature.

Also if you are connected to a gas bottle turning the tap right down to restrict the flow of gas will do it as well.
