Hi team . I am looking at selling my 14 inch Furphy in excellent condition. Stamped Kangaroo Stove Co with serial no. No photos at the moment. Any one have a rough estimate on value. As I said it is in excellent condition always washed and cured.

G’day Brian and welcome to the forum.

I think it is real hard to put a price on a Furphy these days and you do see some ridiculous prices on them.

If someone really wants it then they will pay big dollars.

The old Kangaroo Furphy 14” ones don’t come up that often but the straight Furphy 15 inch I have seen up around the $1800 mark.

The Kangaroo is a little bit unique as Furphy cast them using the old kangaroo stove molds they inherited when they bought the company out and there doesn’t seem to be a lot known about them. Then again we don’t even know a lot about Furphy themselves.

In saying all that I wouldn’t like to put a price on it but auctions like eBay seem to be the best.

I would be interested in seeing a photo of that.  Not sure I have ever heard of a serial number before.  Cheers

Same here.
Would love to see photos.
I think I have the same CO, but no serial number.
The walls on mine have very uneven thickness.
I didn't pay much for it.

Aart
