Been pretty casual out here so sorry for lack of photos on first night. We did however have Judy’s sticky pork pieces, Petes apricot chicken and Judys pears poached in red wine.

List night as in photos was my chicken and vegetable stew with dumplings, Judy’s honey soy lamb chops and Pete’s apple and mulberry cobbler. Here’s photos.

Tonight we are all heading to the pub for dinner to celebrate Maggie’s birthday tomorrow.

Murray & Judy, Pete and Carolyn have now departed and we are here alone.

This place we have all said will be a great future COG site.

Dinner at the pub last night was quite good.

Maggie and I sampled the fare at the bakehouse on our first day and we will do so again for lunch today.

The campground area here is quite large with an abundance of both powered and unpowered sites. Caravan park type power boxes all with water taps.

Amenities are good. There is a small laundry and a dump point.

The area we stayed at and would book again is 50 metres from the amenity block and 75 metres from the dump point.

Could easily get 8 powered sites together for a COG. (Last photo)

The town itself has all ammenities. Has a good baker, mixed grocery and cafe that sells fuel and a good pub.

Maggie and I will return and a future COG is definitely on the cards.

EDIT: $25 a night for power and water. $150 a week. Oddly you can stay a maximum 50 nights.

Was talking to Muzz a couple of hours ago he let me know he was home ok. Told me he hit rain from Port Macquarie to home.

Was a beautiful sunny day here and within half an hour of talking to him clouds moved in from the south and we started to get showers.

Now surrounded by thunderstorms and a storm warning has been issued with possible large hailstones.

Tonight is our 5th night and we are loving it. The ambience is pretty darned good. Some little villages to explore around the hinterland here and a good road to Coffs Harbour only 35 minutes away and Grafton 40 minutes the other way. In fact it is closer to Coffs than Thora is.
