Ok taking into consideration everyone’s needs as best we can have a definite date.

COG will start from Tuesday 8 October and we will be there at least a week or as long as folks want to stay.

Can I get a definite idea of who is coming so I can make a booking. Will look at the same site we were at last time.

I have just made a tentative booking at Glenreagh for a full week commencing 7 October.

This will be at power posts 1 & 2 which is where we were last time.

I have made it initially for 6 sites and from memory we can get 4 around each power posts so can fit up to 8.

I am booked in for the week. Powered site costs are $25 a night or $150 for the week. Unpowered are $15 a night.

I didn’t ask but I understand “Seniors” may get a discount so worth checking out yourself.

I have told them that everyone will call and make their own arrangements so please call them on 0428 582 314 and let them know you are with me as the booking is in my name.

I am planning to be there on the Monday at this stage.

It is all happening at Glenreagh in ‘24 folks.

I think the worst of it was north of Genreagh and forecast is looking reasonably ok.

They do say we are having an early wet season so who knows. Will have to suck and see.

I spoke to the Caretaker down there this morning just to make our bookings are ok and all good from their end. She said worst of the rain was last weekend but fine at present.

We will be there on the Monday and staying seven nights.

After the COG we are slipping down to Seal Rocks. A place I have always wanted to stay at. I used to professionally fish offshore there back in the early 70’s.

Here we go. The festivities have started.

Dinner tonight was Aart’s roast pork on the new spit, Jeannie’s roast veggies, Caroline and Petes corned beef, potato, cabbage and white sauce.

Dessert was Judy’s fruit in wine. I think blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and mulberries served with icecream.

A bit tardy tonight. I was sitting munching away with a plate of food on my lap and Aart said, “Did you get photos Derek”. Bugger.

So this is the remnants after most everyone filled their plates.

We had Pam & Rays roast vegetables, My butterflied lamb leg basted in a red wine and apricot jam glaze, Jeannies beef stroganoff, Murray’s chicken roll and Pam’s brussel sprouts with bacon. Carolyn’s left over veggies from last night.

No cooking for lunch, just relaxing under the trees in the shade chatting.

Pudding and no photos was a Michael Patch Christmas steam pudding that Rory brought along.

Internet driving me crazy. Here is an assortment of meals over two days.

1. My cottage pie
2 & 3 Murray and Judy’s glazed baked ham
4. Robs chicken noodle soup that was so packed with goodies you could eat it with a fork
5. Jeannies meat balls
6. Peas and carrots
7. Pete & Carolyns Thai chicken stir fry and rice

No photos but tonight we had my liver & bacon on onion gravy together with mashed potato and peas, Rob’s roast chook and baked potato, Pete & Carolyns mushroom risotto, left over ham and pork and Judy made a plum & almond cake.

Tomorrow night we are all off to the pub for dinner. Supporting the locals.

Best thing we bought but sure how long we can afford it. On Rural and pause when not traveling.

Have another home one which beats the Hell out of the NBN and is good as we can claim half back.
