Hi Guys after some history or information on my camp oven I picked up any help would be appreciated  it measure 20 inch across and it has Carron on it I think

What would you like to know?  Yes it is a Carron made in Scotland possibly in the 1800’s.

You don’t see too many of them around that size and in good condition.

Hi thanks for the reply I’m a detectorist so keen on the history early 1800 late 1800’s where in Scotland rough value got it from a lady whom bought it at a garage sale years ago she was going to plant a flower in it but never did and I bought it off her might need reseasoning before use looks to be in good condition

Ovens never came with a handle (bail) they were always added later either by a blacksmith or homemade that's why they vary so much in style.
 

When I die I hope my missus doesn't sell my camp ovens  for what I told her I paid for them. pd
