Not sure how much we've had here but it has bucketed down time and time again. Had a trip to Bunbury today water laying everywhere. trees down in one area. I had a Davis weather station in SA and you can access any of them if they feed into the phone network. there one about a K from me but his rain gauge isn't recording properly. The magpies used to leave a deposit in mine occasionally and I wonder if he has the same problem.

Some rain last night before be then received a txt from SA power saying power was back on did not know it was of as battery switch over was so smooth.

To bed about 10am and woke up around 2am with some very heavy rainfalls which lasted for a while.
Not much sleep as the rain kept waking me up. Still some heavy rain coming across.

Look, I am just going to ask it.

When will this bloody El Nino actually kick in?

We haven't seen the sun for weeks now - I am sick and tired of traipsing mud into the house, the weeds are out of control and last time I got the ride on out - it got bogged.

Mostly it's not even real rain, misty drizzle and days of fog.

I am seriously getting to the point of looking to move.

They reckon it never rains on the dusty Diamantina, that would be preferable to this crap South Australian weather.

We've been here just over 5 years and every year it is the same. Months of drizzly not-quite-rain, fog and mud. Even the weeds are confused, peak growing season is winter - that isn't an anomaly, that's just wrong.

They claim it's a Mediterranean climate. Piffle. It wouldn't be so bad if it just rained properly then went away, but no, it just endlessly drizzles and we're still well down on soil moisture. As I type more misty, foggy drizzle has rolled in.
