A lot of people remember Vic McCristal the outdoors writer and fisherman.

He was my hero growing up and I think I read pretty well all his articles in the Australian Outdoors Magazine, the Anglers Digest and the Australian Angler. I even have some of his books around home.

Vic has passed away now and it was only in recent years that I found at that he was one of Maggie’s uncles at a family reunion.

Another famous fishing writer Steve Starling put together this short video about Vic.

Well worth a watch.
