There's some camp oven cooking afoot!

While shopping today the local co-op supermarket had short-date dressed and stuff Inghams' chickens for $3.79.

Tonight we're having Kingbrown's Pub Chicken with roast veggies.

I rediscovered the joy of camp oven cuisine on our recent camping trip across to Tamworth. So to keep the mojo going...

Cheers Kev.

The kettle furthest from the camera is an actual weber I found not long after we moved in. I was hacking back an old and mistreated apple tree and that was entirely covered in weeds and fallen branches!

Came up a treat. KingBrown's pub chicken always does.

The apple tree survived but hasn't fruited properly yet - I reckon next season we will get fruit. It was a harsh prune and we had to rebuild around its base as well.

We have other trees in the orchard so aren't going without!

Dinner's finished.

Ovens are washed, heated, oiled and cooling in the bbq.

A well seasoned oven is a joy to clean ready for next time.

Looks good Colin.
Reading this, I've brought out my cooking gear to do a small roast beef for this afternoon.
The black pots are making a resurgence on the forum.
