How is this for a weird mechanical/electrical process.

Had the motorhome (Fiat) serviced before this trip however it appears the mechanic didn’t reset the service interval alarm.  Last couple of days had been getting an alarm and a warning light telling me it needed servicing.

Did a Google search to see if I could reset myself.  Found it and here it is:

1.  Turn ignition key on and wait for alarms to activate and turn off.  Do not start engine
2.  Push the accelerator pedal to the floor and hold
3.  Pump the brake pedal quickly 7 times and hold it and the accelerator down for 60 seconds
4.  Release the brake and throttle pedals
5.  Turn key off and wait another 60 seconds before turning back on

Guess what??  It worked.  🤣🤣🤣🤣

I am surprised you don't have an OBDII device.

They cost next to nothing these days and can extract error codes and clear them.

I have an older one from Kings and have it plugged in to show things like charge volts, EG temps, fuel economy. I have used it to clear errors and such as well.

Well, that certainly gave me a chuckle.

I bought one when I first bought the motorhome and it’s sitting here still in its box in the bottom of the cupboard and I didn’t even think of it.   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
