Yeah should have been a camp oven.

Big saucepan with 1.8kg shin beef and 800grams beef kidney in a rich port infused gravy.

Yummmmmmmm.

When we were staying with friends at Old Junee Maggie and Patrya went to the local Op-Shop and while there she sent me the first photo asking if I wanted the pudding bowl.

The bowl didn’t interest me as I have one same size but the little pie dish it was sitting on looked good so told her to grab the pie dish instead as it would be a great size for the two of us.

It is a nice ceramic dish, oven and microwave safe and at $4 why not.

Got to use it last night for the first time with the last of the steak and kidney and it certainly cooked up a nice pie.

It is 20 cm across so 8 inches in the old scale.

How did your garden go while you were away.

I have got a vegetable garden going with Snow peas, silver beet, which we are eating cucumbers and beans
Have a great day

We are no longer talking about the garden.   Roll Eyes

Hardly any rain in the three months we were away and everything has gone brown except the fruit trees that are hanging on.

Just made 20 mini steak and kidney pies.  Will vacuum seal and freeze most of them.
