Several years back I bought some crumpet rings thinking that one day I might make some.

It was only after my success with muffins in the new gas Campmaster Cooker that I thought to myself this would be ideal for crumpets.  Today was the day.

I used one of Jamie Olivers recipes - https://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/bread/classic-crumpets/

First off I had trouble with the heat adjustment then every crumpet, regardless of the fact I smothered the rings in olive oil, stuck in the ring.

So I still have some thinking and learning to do.

Overall though I am very happy with them.

With butter and honey they are delicious.

I can see I am going to have to get a set of crumpet rings for the motorhome.   Cheesy

Have ordered some 10.5 cm (4 inch) non-stick muffin rings off eBay for the next batch.  My old ones were 7.5cm (3 inch) and the crumpets were a tad small.

My wife eats a few crumpets may have to get some rings & try this. I guess if they stick you could try some baking paper inside the ring.

Well, I have been arguing online with the seller of the muffin rings as they never arrived.  He kept making excuse after excuse that the delay was with the courier.

Yesterday I got a bit peeved and submitted a request for a full refund.

Today I received it and now I need to track down another set from a different seller.   Cheesy
