I think it was Jack Absalom who coined the phrase, “Only those who cannot bake bread in a camp oven cook damper’.

Myself, I rarely make dampers these days but I do like it and the ingredients list in some of these look pretty good.

Thankyou I saved that one. Makes you want to make one straight away. I make a no knead bread when we’re away that we like. Can’t remember the last time I made a damper.
