I was in Aldi the other day and they had some 10" deep sided cast iron skillets. They were $22.

Somehow, one got into the shopping basket.

Typical Crofton finish, a little grainy but for the price it's OK. The pre-seasoning was alright but I ran through a couple of cycles to help it along.

As it is deep sided I expect that it will be used for slightly acidic cooking (tomatoes, stewed fruit etc) so it will need regular re-seasoning in any case.
