Diesel here is still going up in price , a few days ago it was all still under $3.
Today the cheapest in town is $2.94.9, most of them are wanting $3.09.9 and one at $3.19.9

Same prices around here Rory.  Hope something gives soon.

What I have noticed is a lot of servos are only selling premium diesel and not ordinary diesel.

They are saying grocery prices are going to go up as a result.

Every few weeks I take the motorhome for a spin up the highway, just to keep everything lubricated and moving on it.

Knew I had half a tank of diesel so though the way things are going up I really should top it up.

Had a look on the PetrolSpy App and most servos around were 309.9 cents a litre however Freedom was only 299.9 cents a litre.

Pulled in there and topped up with 62 litres and with my Freedom Membership through the Campervan & Motorhome Club got 4 cents a litre off to bring it back down to 295.9 cents a litre.

Still getting ripped off but 14 cents a litre discount on what others are charging is pretty good.

Was nice to get behind the wheel of the big old girl again for a spin.  If all goes well and between medical appointments (we now call them Body Servicing Appointments) we are looking at heading to Hervey Bay for a week in May.

Hetty and I left Brisbane 3 weeks ago today.
Full tank of diesel at $1,68/ litre.
Filled up this morning in Hobert at $3,12/ litre.
I am getting between 11 and 12.5 litres per 100klm. Depending the terrain.
No good news for the trip home.
Grateful I'm not towing.

Needless to say my budget has exploded.

I am having fun

We are planning our trip to Tassie starting in September.

Maggie said the other day, “Do you think we can still afford to go with the fuel prices?”

My answer was, “At our age can we afford not to go.  Opportunities won’t keep coming our way forever”.

So yep, we have paid the ferry and are still going and bugger the budget.   Smiley

Diesel this morning here was $3:17 up 17c overnight and rising to $3:20 this afternoon. Certainly thinking about any runs even to the shops as a few servos have no diesel. Cheers

I have decided to keep my cars tank topped up as I have a trip to the heart specialist tomorrow morning and to the rheumatolgist on the gold coast and the plastic surgeon in the city after easter. so I see a bit of fuel being used.
