Price gouging is what it is, on Friday came past a OTR and diesel at $1.96:00, 1 1/2 klm down the road and Ampol was $2.18:00. No reason for the price difference .

Average on the price app around $2.04. I filled up Thursday at $1.75.

I just fuelled both cars in Herberton.
$1.909 Unleaded 91oct
$1.999 Unleaded 95oct

$2.17 for premium 95 here today.  Most servos are now out of diesel.

Unleaded 98 $2:36 and diesel if available is $2:70. No diesel in our area.

Diesel seems to be the killer.  Averaging $2.55 to $2.60 here around the Valley.  Not planning on going anywhere in the motorhome for a while.

Plenty of diesel here across the valley.  Most expensive is 266.9 cents a litre.

Local diesel prices here today.  Just keeps going up.

Around the Lockyer diesel is averaging 8 cents a litre more than this morning.

One servo has it at 288.9 cents and  premium diesel is 295.9 cents.

I expect it will be over the three dollar mark here on the weekend.

On K’Gari or Fraser Island diesel is $3.60 a litre and with the Easter holidays nearly on us a trip up there may be off the cards for some people.

Two of our local servos hit 295.9 cents a litre today. 

Our little orange Suzuki only uses 4.2 litres to the 100 kilometres so not really noticing it in that yet.

Planning a trip to Hervey Bay in the motorhome shortly but will be able to do that on one tank of juice.

Overall apart from joining everyone complaining it is not really affecting us.

Diesel here is still going up in price , a few days ago it was all still under $3.
Today the cheapest in town is $2.94.9, most of them are wanting $3.09.9 and one at $3.19.9

Every few weeks I take the motorhome for a spin up the highway, just to keep everything lubricated and moving on it.

Knew I had half a tank of diesel so though the way things are going up I really should top it up.

Had a look on the PetrolSpy App and most servos around were 309.9 cents a litre however Freedom was only 299.9 cents a litre.

Pulled in there and topped up with 62 litres and with my Freedom Membership through the Campervan & Motorhome Club got 4 cents a litre off to bring it back down to 295.9 cents a litre.

Still getting ripped off but 14 cents a litre discount on what others are charging is pretty good.

Was nice to get behind the wheel of the big old girl again for a spin.  If all goes well and between medical appointments (we now call them Body Servicing Appointments) we are looking at heading to Hervey Bay for a week in May.

This is up the road at Gatton.  One servo getting a bit greedy.

We are planning our trip to Tassie starting in September.

Maggie said the other day, “Do you think we can still afford to go with the fuel prices?”

My answer was, “At our age can we afford not to go.  Opportunities won’t keep coming our way forever”.

So yep, we have paid the ferry and are still going and bugger the budget.   

I have decided to keep my cars tank topped up as I have a trip to the heart specialist tomorrow morning and to the rheumatolgist on the gold coast and the plastic surgeon in the city after easter. so I see a bit of fuel being used.

I took this snip of the local area as they were announcing halving the excise.

Will be interesting to see if they reduce their prices by the full 26.3 cents.

Just filled two cans of mower fuel.  Cost me $84.   

Have now lost all my motivation to go and mow.

I was thinking one better than that Kev. 

Could go for a drive and catch a few young wild goats and let them loose in the yard and then when the fuel prices come down I can eat the goats.   

No  diesel in town today, there was  premium  95 though. Nissan filled for the Easter weekend, just need to pack up so we can go now.

Doing daytime crossing on Tuesday.
Hope to get home on Friday.
About 1880klms. Should only need to fuel once on the way home.
Then the cruiser will get locked in the garage till diesel becomes affordable.

Prices went up 10c here yesterday to $3:20 and above.

The worst is always Ampol and has been since Woolies rebranded. Use to be my main shopping supermarket but do very little there now.

Since last post now $95.60USD

pigs might fly on seeing a price drop soon, i think. 

Local servos are anywhere between 316.9 to 330.9 a litre today.  Not a concern for us so far.  Life goes on.

Some are down to 287.9 for diesel.  Looking a bit more promising.

$283.9 best around here with most in the high $2.80.

Added: some service stations are showing no diesel available. Here we go round the mulberry bush again.

I am going camping tomorrow, I plan on filling up in Mareeba, $2.09 for premium.

We are down into the 230’s for diesel but for some reason petrol has dropped to around what it was before the war.

According to the news this morning diesel is going up again and already I can see on PetrolSpy that we are back in the 240’s again here in the Lockyer.
