Went to the pantry and no dried tomato’s so thought I would do some myself. Up at the fruit shop yesterday and they had small tomato’s on special, just under $3 kilogram so bought 1.1 kg.

Cut in half with a spray of good olive oil and a sprinkle of Thyme, basil and salt. Into the oven at 80c fan forced (100c ) for 5 to 6 hrs

Will see how they go cheers

Robert, do you leave the oven door open to let moisture escape??

Often see some good food dehydrators on Marketplace and often wonder how they would work doing same think.

No Derek my new oven keeps telling us to shut the door. Once again lots of videos on Youtube explaining allI 3 methods.

Will give my dehydrator ago soon and report.

If looking for one see if you can score a square or rectangle one will be trying myself to find one.

All done and dusted, a fair bit of shrinkage but still managed a jar and a half.

I usually buy romas as they have less acid than others.
