Well after the disaster of me attempting to clean fridge my fridge our cleaner came around this afternoon and finished the job. Had to endure another lecture but that was ok.

Put the humidifier and dehumidifier in and giving it a test run over night.

That’s a nice deep looking fridge.

How are you planning to run the cables for your humidifier and dehumidifier to your controller?

Will have a good look after but most likely through the flat section on the side betwwn the two lots a shelve grooves. Not sure if modern fridges run any cooling pipes down the sides these days. I think it is all fan forced circulation.

What year was your fridge built? Cheers

Haven’t a clue what year mine is.

From what I read they often have gas lines in the walls. Many stores of people slicing through them.

What I did was carefully cut a hole in the inside plastic then slowly picked the foam insulation out till I got to the outer metal wall.

Well. Started to cut the hole in the side of my fridge yesterday easy two holes up to 6mm the a sharp object to probe in the insulation went in a inch and did not feel any thing so cut the hole.

Then dug out the insulation with a flat screw driver. Felt something on the out side wall so took it easy. Sure enough a 3 mm pipe running agains the wall. Drilled two holes near the pipe from the inside and marked the outside where I needed to drill for the centre of the new hole. So a job for this afternoon.

Will need a bit of repairs but will not effect the efficiency of the fridge.

Well done.  Just goes to show that real care is needed.

Have seen a few photos on Facebook pages where people have just gone ahead and drilled a large hole and cut through a cooling pipe.
