AI apparently is taking over the world or so some people think.   Seeing so much of it.  Realestate photos are nearly all enhanced with AI and people are also enhancing photos on things they sell. Some are writing letter, books and essays with it.  Seems it’s ability is unlimited.

I was watching an online arguement before about an old Weber BBQ Kettle that looked just about new.  People were saying the photos were AI.

So I thought hmmmm I wonder.  So I uploaded a photo of my black Weber Kettle and asked the AI Program to change it from black to Fire Engine Red.

The photos below are the result.

If you look carefully in the black one you can see my reflection where I am holding the phone to take the photo.  That reflection has been reproduced in the red one.

There however is a good side of AI in regards this forum.  May not mean much to you but the forum code is based on Perl which is now an old code not often used.  There is no support for it anymore.

If the forum fails due to something in the code being not right I should be able to use AI to reproduce a code to fix it.  That has given me hope for the future of the forum.

That would be good Derek but otherwise not a fan of AI. I have listened to some Janis Joplin blues done by AI and they are quite good.

I use AI to evaluate companies for swing trading on the stock markets. Used a free one to start with but was,t really all that happy with it and then I seen someone mention a paid one. Thought I'll give it a go & have been very happy with it, but you do have to be careful with them as if they can't always tell the difference between what that Idiot that runs a country and the real truth is. I find the one I'm using gives references as to where it sources its info. I read recently that in about a year if you can't use AI it will be like people who can't google now. I haven't tried use it to cook yet !

Read today the Tamar, Tasmania council used AI to do a 10 year plan for the region and accepted it. Did not cost any where near a consultant firm and waaaay less the the one year quoted.
