Not sure who, how or why but as at 7.00 pm there have been over a 1000 guests on the forum all day.

They are not the usual search engine bots.

They are not trying to do anything exceptional and I am getting no warnings through the security protocols. They are not causing the forum to run slow either.

Just to add to that in the past 24 hours there have been 5540 unique IP visitor numbers.

No doubt not all real people but a number of them to be searching for a specific file that does not even exist.

None have breached the security protocols.

On other forums that Im a member of we have had a lot of trouble in the last year with huge numbers of "Guests".
A large percentage of them are bots "scrapers" collecting information for AI purposes.
All I can say is , keep an eye on them, they can cause a lot of trouble by overloading servers and such. I don't personally know a lot about it but I have watched at close quarters the struggles the blokes who keep a forum working that I moderate on.
These guys have worked in IT for years and still have a hard time keeping on top of things.
