I know they are not everyone’s cup ot tea but i love anchovies.  I had a Ceasar Salad yesterday when we were out and was very disappointed there were no anchovies for it.

I have been known to buy one of the little John West tins of them, rip the top off and eat them straight from the tin.   Smiley

My favourite current anchovy snack is a chargrilled round of baguette (ideally cut on the bias), slathered with basil based salsa verde with one or two Ortiz brand anchovies draped on top.

A nice glass of Grenache or Tempranillo doesn't hurt to wash it down...

(see here for the salsa verde recipe we've used.  The classic Italian version is also quite good.  https://www.recipetineats.com/salsa-verde/)

I have used a lot of recipes from Nagi Maehashi Of Recipe Tin Eats.  Will investigate this further.  My fresh herb garden, due to us not going away, is coming along nicely.
