I was alerted to the show Irresistible:Why We Can’t Stop Eating now available on SBS On Demand by a friend.

It is a documentary from around the world about the dangers to our health from “Ultra Processed Food”

Maggie and I were so taken by it we have now watched it a second time.

While we have never eaten a large amount of supermarket processed food it has certainly made us sit up and take notice.

More so the so called seemingly harmless additives that a lot of our foods contain.  Things like “Natural Flavours” and “Emulsifier” that really are a cocktail of chemicals.

One thing that has hit out to me are the ingredients in the Wallaby Brand Bread Improver that I use in what I thought was good healthy bread.  I rethink is in progress.

We would encourage you all to have a look at it and then think about what is happening in the food industry that is not good for our health.

Interesting show and what Molly and I have believes for a few year. Have been a vanilla addict for years alsolollies and anything sweet. Have now hit a week with out any of them, do not expect to give up full time but needing a break.

Will have to pull our the diabetic cook books for deserts and cut dow the amount. Have been having fruit at night but not the big amount I use to eat. Cheers Robert
