The KIng Prawns were good today.

Lighty fried in butter, garlic and lime juice with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley then eaten on a soft bread roll and dusted in fresh cracked black pepper.

Thought I would try the Tiger Prawns today.  Nice big ones.

Made some little loaves of bread.

Cooked the prawns in garlic butter, salt, paprika, lime juice and parsley.  Oiled one side of the bread and under the grill to crisp a bit.

Sprinkled on mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese on the bread and popped on the prawns then back under the grill to melt the cheese.

Absolutely fantastic.  The big tigers had a taste of crayfish to them.

Making the most of these big black tigers.  These were coated in panko crumb and shredded coconut then fried.

Some of them were bigger than some Moreton Bay Bugs I have had over the years.

I’m addicted.  Maggie is away for a couple of nights at her annual craft retreat and these prawns are so easy to cook and I have never minded peeling them so this was dinner.

Some butter and oil in a pan with heaps of fresh smashed garlic.  Fry both side quickly and sprinkle over some lemon or lime juice and chopped parsley.

Tonight was simple with a few chips.   Cheesy

Still some good prawns around.  Large green Banana Prawns were only $22 a kilo today.

Cooked something totally new to me.  Prawn Risotto. Maggie will often have risotto if we are out somewhere and has been asking me to give it a try for a while.  Was very yummy indeed.
