Had to show a couple of picks of my day today. I broke in 3 new ovens and cooked a seasoned chook, a loaf of bread and some rosemary gravy, what a great way to spend a Sunday.

Astroboy,
Sounds like a perfect way to spend the day.  Looks like dinner was worth the wait?  I have a newbie question for ya.  Do you use your tripod for cooking or just for boiling water?  I've seen them online but have not seen them in use.  Is there some advantage to using a tripod or one of those Iron Spit assemblies, over charcoal DO tables or wood coals on the ground?

G'day Pot, good to here from you. I only use the tripod for the billy, but thats not to say you could'nt use it too cook an oven over the fire with. I'm sure many people adopt that method. As long as you maintain consistent heat while cooking she'll be right.
I have an aus spit rotisserie which is great, and i use different methods to cook all the time, thats half the fun trial and error. Here's a couple of pic's.

Hey, here's another chook being done to its last turn on the rotisserie. The foil packets in the baskets are baked spuds (with garlic & butter).
