That thought had crossed my mind Derek not from the photo but just cooking a piece of salty meat in Cast Iron surely would require some thorough cleaning afterwords

Jono cooked his 9kg piece for 10 hours

I had all the time in the world on Saturday mate. Slower the better I reckon. I put it on then headed down the Pub for a while (bout 8 green cans) (caught up with some mates I haven't seen for about 6 years, was tops) Great day out if ya got stuff all to do!

Tell ya what I had some wobbly boots come dinner time.

Cheers

Jono

I was in no way inferring you were a pisspot, just because you "headed down the Pub for a while (bout 8 green cans)" and COMPLETELY forgot all about the  Corned Dog  you left tied up.

Nice one Jono,

that looks good and sounds even better.
Sooty cooking is not the only thing I'm quick at Grin Grin

If you do it in the CO Sooty one word of advice , wash or soak the bludger ,cause it can tend to get a bit salty.

8 Green tins Jono Grin only up for a small drink were you. Grin

Regards Skip

I had to get home "To monitor the corned beef" ya know  Grin (It doesn't cook itself, sheeeze Grin).

It didn't stop at 8 cans I can assure you of that. VB - Firewood mission - redbull & Vodka - square bear - more wood - port - more VB - etc. Made it til 7.30am then my "last standing" mate was walkin the planks on top of a work ute and fell off and broke his foot ,HAHAHA Tool. Shouldn't laugh. He deserved it. HAHAHA. Gives ya some idea what sort of night was had.

No mate not Brozy. Brozy will be in fine form for Hedlow

You'll need more than medication for Hedlow Grin

By gee's Jono that looks great.
I think a lot of CO cooking should be cooked  slow.
PD told me that he adds water about 1/3 and cooks very slow with heat on top...he adds other things as well...when he gets back from walkabout.. should be this weekend I will pick his brain.
