Hi from Geoff and Michele - We enjoy camping and have some experience using camp ovens on open fires. We came across this site when looking for some information on using charcoal heat beads. Look forward to catching up. Cheesy

Hi Geoff and Michelle and welcome to the forums.

Not sure where you are located but we have a COG (Camp Oven Gathering) coming up at Broke, near Singleton in NSW on 6/7 September 2008 and then all getting together at the Camp Oven Festival at Millmerran in October.

Great bunch of people here all full of knowledge.

If you live in Aspley the Brisbane suburb you are a week or so late we had a COG at Pine Rivers and a top get together it was.

Thanks for the welcome guys, sorry we missed the turnout at Pine Rivers, but we did have a good holiday at Hervey Bay. We have definitely pencilled in the Millmerran event though.
