Mum used to make this when we were kids and I still luv it.. Great in cold weather or for a hearty feed out camping..

4 lamb shanks - size? - to fit in co
1 bay leaf
4 tablespoons barley
1/2 pkt Italian soup mix
carrots, parsnips, onion, Celery, stock cubes of your choice all chopped up of course...

Method:

1/2 fill CO with water

Dump the lot in and put heat under only. Lid on...

Do not allow to boil dry - skim frequently

Cook for a cuppla hours or until meat falls off the bones.

Pepper and salt to taste
