Garlic & Chilli Squid
Lemon zest and Juice.
Diced bacon, chilli, garlic, shallots, green capsicum and garlic.
Grated ginger.
Squid cut into rings.
Throw the lot together and leave for an hour or two in the fridge. Heat the pan to hot add some oil and throw it all in together and fry for ashort time each side. Not to long or it will turn to leather.
Serve on a bed of salad…… Smiley

G'Day Stew,

I love Squid but have never had it like that , keen to give it a try.

When the squid pass by I go and catch some ,in my area we get a lot of Cuttlefish too, they are sensational to eat also, I marinate the rings in a combo of milk & garlic which tenderises them kiwifruit pulped will do the same.

A light crumb coating and into a shallow fry. Smiley

Thanks for sharing A great piccy too !

All the best

Rebelcook

Capsicum is a style of pepper/chilli that is not hot.
Comes in many varieties.
I am growing Bell and Banana style.

Their shape reflects the name.

Hi Rebelcook,

Capsicum in Australia is the same as your Bell peppers, red green yellow black etc. Great on Pizza & in salads
goes great with beetroot.

Cuttlefish are a similar animal to squid only heaps bigger & uglier Grin do a quick google search on images and have a look. Let us know if you can't find a picture & I'll post one for you.
They are eaten just like you would for squid.

All the best
