When we saw this email, we felt compelled to try it..

We have tried it with Self Raising flour and plain flour..   PF with a 1/3 teaspoon of baking powder makes a very muffinny texture.  SR flour makes it rise like the billy-o....

All I can say is to use a BIG mug to cook it in.

It needs to be eaten right away or it gets really heavy!!

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.  Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. (1200 watts (high) for 2 and a 1/2 minutes.)
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired..
EAT! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world ?

Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

The images are on my phone and I will upload later...

The challenge now, is to make it self saucing!!!!!

Beryl, of the late night Valentines Day Furphy Jaffle pressie given in the Kingsthorpe Pub car park, often cooks in mugs any of the instant supermarket cake mixes. But only fill mug to halfway before nuking.

I know we did this but yesterday Huey cooked a variation of ingredients and bigger choc pudding.

The ingredients were:

1 Packet of Chocolate Cake Mix
1 Packet of Chololate Pudding Mix
1 Cup of Warm Water  -   Mix well   -   put in a ceramic bowl (those what I call noodle bowls from the super market) - cook on MEDIUM in microwave for 12 minutes or till it smells (his instructions said 12-15 but it smelt at 12 and he took it out then).  Leave for 15 minutes before turning out and eating.

I havent had time to go to the shops to buy the stuff but will try it next time I have the grandkids.
