As a real pastie aficionado (I'd rather have a good pastie than a pie) I gotta tell you an authentic pastie does not have green peas or corn, it does have skirt steak, swede or turnip, potato and black pepper plus a few other ingredients to your taste.

If you are ever in Blackwood Street at Mitchelton in Brisbane, there is a shop called The Grapevine.  One of the guys there does a "to die for" pastie (Ray is his name)....

If you don't like his pasties, I will pay for it for ya...  (that's saying something from Old Tight Fist himself)
