With the price of electricity rising as it is...heatbeads will soon be a cheaper alternative.
I have a good supply of firewood in the backyard..

has anybody found a brand of bead thats as
good as heatbeads, thats cheaper!
i used cheaper ones years ago but about as
much use as tits on a bull Grin

Are they cheaper ????

I was in Sams Wharehouse the other day and noticed 10 kg bags of an un-named brand for $19.89.

I have never seen Heat Beads over $15.00 for a 10 kg bag.

used to have a neighbour who gave me some "hot rocks" bbq fuel to try, wasnt too bad, but i my opinion nothing beats heat beads. big w in victoria sells 10kgs for approx $14

even when i go bush i reckon heat beads are the way to go, unless i'm at a camp for a few days then i go for hard wood coals

There are a few around but none cheaper than heat beads in my opinion when you have to use twice as many and they still don't last long enough to cook a feed.

Spent a bit of time with a fella who worked in the HeatBead factory.. He loosely described the process.. A lot more than I expected.

I prefer to give my money to Aussie products like Heatbead.... Particularly if they keep on doing what they do now
